National property management company Trafalgar has opened a new branch office in Knysna, where it already has a large portfolio of sectional title buildings and estates under management.
The office will be run by Helen Barnes, a long-time resident and former Deputy Sheriff of Knysna, who has a strong legal and management background and will be supported by the existing portfolio administration team to ensure continuity and maintain optimal service levels.
“We currently have more than 600 units in the gated developments we manage in Knysna and other towns nearby,” says Trafalgar MD Andrew Schaefer, “with most in signature complexes such as Knysna Quays, Oakland at the Knoll, Centreville and Sheercliff. The demand for our services is also growing all along the Garden Route now, so we believe this is an opportune time to establish a separate branch to assist local bodies corporate and home owners’ associations (HOAs) more directly.
“And Helen is the ideal person to run this operation as she not only has the right skills but knows the area so well.”
Knysna clients who have previously dealt with the Trafalgar office in Port Elizabeth will now be able to deal directly with the office in Knysna, which will also serve sectional title and HOA clients in Mossel Bay, George, Wilderness, Sedgefield and Plettenberg Bay.
“As the Garden Route becomes increasingly attractive to permanent residents as well as holidaymakers, more new sectional title complexes and estates are being developed, and the need for professional property management services such as those offered by Trafalgar is rising.
Prices are also still competitive in many areas, so there are currently excellent opportunities in this region for buy-to-let investors – provided that the buildings and estates they choose are well run by a managing agency that understands the need to ensure the safety and performance of their investments.
